After our customer Taiyo Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd. of Japan had won the ISPE Facility Of the Year Award in 2007 in the Equipment Innovation category, the 2008 winner is our customer Bristol Myers Squibb (EMS) in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.
The innovative production facilities have combined the clinical manufacturing processes with extremely innovative developments. A center of pharmaceutical competence has been established at the US campus of Bristol Myers Squibb (EMS) in New Brunswick.
The fully automatic laboratory line supplied by groninger for aseptic and cytotoxic products cleans, sterilizes, fills and seals 2 to 100 ml vials with perfect safety at an output of up to 3600 per hour. In addition to the 100% in-process control during filling, the freeze dryer is loaded and unloaded fully automatically. After the lyophilization a closing machine seals the freeze-dried products securely at a speed of up to 24,000 per hour.
